Initial consultations are scheduled for approximately 1 hour, and subsequent visits are scheduled for 30 minutes. Treatment will normally take approximately 20-25 minutes, sometimes less sometimes more. Our appointment times allow lots of time for discussion and education. At any time you can raise questions about your condition, how the treatment may help, any other issues you may have, including any other questions regarding Osteopathy and the service we offer.
Osteopathic care is a hands on approach, but on most occasions you will not be required to remove any clothing. If for any reason or need to assess and/or treat the body with skin contact, such as some massage required, we will politely seek verbal consent to do so.
No referral from a doctor is necessary to see us. Osteopaths are qualified primary practitioners. That means we have the title of doctor, but we are not medical doctors. All you need to remember is that you don't need a medical doctor to diagnose your condition before you are able to see us.
If you need to reschedule a treatment, please try your best to give 24 hours notice. This is important to make the time available to someone else who may need it, as we often have a cancellation list in place. In some circumstances a cancellation fee may apply if no notice is given. Your consideration for others needs when you need to cancel or reschedule is always warmly appreciated.
Appointments can be made by calling the clinic on 52297848 between 10am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays. Alternatively, book online via the bookings tab located ahove on this website. It is very user friendly!
Health fund rebates are available through extras cover on most health funds, and there is a hicaps/eftpos terminal for your convenience. We can electronically process Medicare claims for CDMP patients. Workcover, TAC, and veterans affairs will all be settled as private consultations, with the patient to follow up the rebate with the appropriate provider once their invoice is settled with us.
